Is there anything better than singing a happy song in your loudest voice? I don’t think so. Unless you prefer singing sad songs at the top of your voice while you drown your tears in a cup of coffee or in bottles of alcohol. But well let’s focus on the happier things in life for now. Here are ten timeless happy songs any girl would not mind being serenaded to. Songs guys can sing for their ladies to get them to smile. And they are in no particular order!
- My Girl – By The Temptations

December is perhaps the best time to dedicate this song to someone! Even if you are not a big music fan, you might’ve come across thing song in the movie “My Girl” (Yes, the one with little Macaulay Culkin!). You have to look at them sing, just adorable:
- Happy Together – The Turtles
“Imagine me and you, I do
I think about you day and night, it’s only right
To think about the girl you love and hold her tight

You’ve probably already heard it. it’s like an iconic romantic song! And could the song get any happier and simpler. The most fun part of the song is where they go on a higher pitch and sing “I can’t see me loving nobody but you, for all my liel”
- Every Woman in the World – Air Supply
“I was never in love, never had the time
In my hustle and hurried world
Laughing my self to sleep, waking up lonely
I needed someone to hold me, oh”
Air Supply used to be the real deal back in the days. And this song is easily a favorite! This is a perfect song to serenade a girl with. It’s like an anthem for those who have too busy a life but manage to find someone just when they had given up hope. Or next time you are late for a date, you could try singing this to pacify the lady – “Girl you are every woman in the world to me”
- 500 Miles – The Proclaimers
The lyrics of this song is so awesome that I am tempted to put all of it here. 500 Miles is the sort of song that makes people expect too much out of a partner in a relationship. It’s too idealistic and skeptics perhaps will not like it much, but to hell with them. It’s such a romantic fun song to sing at the top of your voice!

So this one does not exactly have a happy premise, but it is just the stuff you would want to tell your girl if you are going away for a while! Ah yes, I know there is “Leaving on a Jet Plane” for that, but this one has a happier tune to “delay our misery” while there is still some time left to catch the train/flight.

7. Tonight You Belong to Me – Patience & Prudence
This song easily has the most number of covers in tribute to its awesomeness on YouTube. It’s short, the lyrics are simple and the tune is old school catchy. While most songs that deal with the theme of unrequited love are sad, this one reconciles to the fact that the person you like cannot be yours, so you might as well just enjoy the time you have with them.

- All Day & All of the Night – The Kinks

Three drinks down and you would want to croon this one to your lady love. Or you could dish it out to her if you want to whine about how she is not spending enough time with you!
- Love You Madly – Cake
This is such a groovy and “in the moment” track. If you are the kind of person who does not believe in thinking too much and pondering upon stuff like “where is this going”, this is the song you would be humming.

- Marry You – Bruno Mars
So this is obviously not in the league of the other songs, comes from a different era completely, but has to be the craziest happy song ever! And maybe from a certain perspective – creepy.

One month in a relationship, play that out to a partner, they will flip, either in a negative way or a positive way. Might give them some sleepless nights!

I wasn’t referring to any particular song but now that you mentioned Pharell William’s Happy, I quite like that song. In fact, I like it a lot!
