All right, this was just a cute bonus episode for the fans of the show, the primary plot of “A Good Day to be a Dog” did meet its conclusion in episode 13. If the creators had concluded the series with a few extra minutes in the last episode itself, it would’ve been a fitting end. However, episode 14 served as an entertaining epilogue, akin to a special edition, revealing the aftermath of Lee Bo-kyeom (Lee Hyun-Woo) finally concluding his vengeful pursuit against Han Hae-na (Park Gyuyoung) and Jin Seo-won (Cha Eun-Woo).

Titled “The Birthday Present,” episode 14 takes viewers to a year later in Seoul, where Hae-na and Seo-won are happily dating but still keeping their romance under the wraps at work. Hae-na’s sister Han Yoo-na (Ryu Abel) too is in a content relationship with best-friend Song Woo Taek (Cho Jin Se), with the two planning to get married. Meanwhile, Min Ji Ah (Kim Yi Kyung) tries to find Lee Bo-kyeom, who disappears after learning the entire truth about what happened in the fast and finally realizing Hae-na hadn’t betrayed Cho Young in her past life. (Although, she did unwittingly lead the enemy to her master.)

Most of the episode is focused on Hae-na finding ways to do something big for Seo-won’s birthday, and the couple shares several sweet scenes throughout the runtime. With Seo-won no longer afraid of dogs, he is able to share his girlfriend’s love and appreciation of dogs. Park Gyuyoung and Cha Eun-Woo are adorable in this comedy-fantasy-romance. Overall, this was a sweet albeit somewhat overstretched conclusion to the series.
