“The first episode of “Demon Slayer Swordsmith Village Arc” effectively introduced all the upper-ranked moons who serve Muzan Kibutsuji, leaving a fantastic impression on fans. However, the second episode did not feature any of them and was disappointingly short. But fans need not worry about missing out on the sinister twisted demons of the show, as the third episode offers plenty of action.

The third episode, titled “A Sword From 300 Years Ago,” starts with Tanjiro and a mischievous sword-smith admiring a centuries-old blade lodged in the broken body of ‘Yoriichi Type Zero.’ Tanjiro feels uncertain about deserving the vintage steel from the Sengoku period. However, our hero soon has greater problems to deal with, as two higher ranked demons breach into the peaceful village. Luckily for him, there are two more demon slayers to help fight the evil creatures.

Hantengu, the hideous fourth upper moon, initially appears as a pitiful, cowering demon when alongside his more powerful colleagues at the Infinity Castle. However, he turns out to be surprisingly fierce, with split personalities that add to his unpredictability. It took Tanjiro and his gang a long time to defeat the sixth-ranked demon in Entertainment District, even with the help of a Hashira, so it’s a little worrying to see him face an even stronger opponent while still recovering. Despite this tension, episode three manages to deliver the usual mix of humor and action, keeping viewers entertained and eager to see what happens next.
