"Ballad for Sophie" is a beautiful graphic novel by Filipe Melos and Juan Cavia. If you love art, music and classical tropes with a cinematic touch - read it. The art is fantastic and the story is old school but moving nonetheless - a young persistent journalist tries to interview a reclusive old musician, who was once an incredibly popular pianist and showman of international renown. Julien Dubois doesn't open up easy, but once he does, readers gets a tale spanning decades of music, culture, class clash, rivalry, drugs, debauchery, disillusionment and heartbreak.

"Doughnuts & Doom" is a fast-paced breezy romance by Balazs Lorinczi. It's got music, magic and all things Sapphic. Full review on AbstractAF.in - clickable link in bio.
