What can I say about loss?

It’s intangible, unbearable

Its threat always lurking

Like an animal invisible

To take you unsuspecting

Surprisingly, confusingly

Like a lightning in the sun

Leaves you dazed, crazed

A vicious clawed grip

Stifling and baffling

Like spring nipped

No summers or winters

Not with them again

All’s vain, no gain

Pain, again & again
