XO Kitty Season 3 throws Kitty back into the chaos of KISS (Korean Independent School of Seoul) for her senior semester, where she plans to finally make things official with Min Ho. Sounds simple, right? Wrong. Because Min Ho now lives in the shiny, exhausting world of K-pop management, complete with yacht parties, glamorous idols, and a father who takes one look at Kitty showing up in the wrong dress and basically decides she’s too awkward to exist in their elite universe.

To be fair, Kitty is a total dork and accidental disaster magnet, but Min Ho genuinely likes her for that, so after enough longing stares and dramatic pauses, the two finally start dating. Cue cute kisses and soft romantic moments before the show immediately remembers it’s a teen drama and starts manufacturing chaos again.

Meanwhile, Yuri is suddenly broke because rich-people problems hit hard in K-dramaland, so Kitty helps auction her designer wardrobe so she can stay at KISS another semester. Naturally, Yuri then conveniently lands a dream job with one of Korea’s biggest fashion designers because apparently unemployment lasts about eleven minutes in this universe.

Elsewhere, Kitty’s adorable bestie Q is happily dating Jin until Marius, the new “bad boy” addition to the show, and he arrives specifically to cause problems in the XO Kitty universe. Turns out Q and Marius used to secretly hook up, because of course they did. Marius also hates Kitty for no reason and decides to meddle in her relationship too by dragging Min Ho’s former crush back into his orbit.

And then comes the truly ridiculous part. Eunice suddenly panics that she might be pregnant and confides in Min Ho, who keeps it secret because he’s trying to be supportive. Unfortunately, this is XO Kitty, where misunderstandings are not cleared up immediately to create some teen drama. Kitty catches Min Ho hugging Eunice right after he lies about meeting Marius, then later finds a positive pregnancy test in a dustbin while Yuri overhears Eunice talking about a “career-ending problem.”

Naturally, the girls immediately conclude Eunice is pregnant with Min Ho’s child. Does Kitty calmly ask her boyfriend for context? Absolutely not. She goes straight into accusation mode, devastating Min Ho, who finally snaps and breaks up with her because apparently nobody in his life trusts him. Kitty’s older sister Lara Jean flies down to help her little sister recover from the heartbreak and focus on her future college prospects.

In the end, it turns out Eunice wasn’t even pregnant, the test wasn’t hers, and she had secretly hooked up with Dae during tour anyway. So after all that drama, the misunderstandings are cleared out, as Kitty and Min Ho decide to give love another shot, despite her planning to study in the U.S. while he considers staying in Korea. Because what’s one more long-distance relationship in a show already powered entirely by emotional chaos and attractive people making terrible assumptions?

Oh, and if you must know, the pregnancy test actually belonged to Kitty’s cousin Jiwon, who joins KISS as a professor in Season 3. She is shown to be secretly dating fellow professor Alex Finnerty, who is also Yuri’s half-brother. A small subplot of ‘XO Kitty’ follows Jiwon’s struggle over having a baby out of wedlock and risking her grandmother’s wrath, but ultimately the young couple decide to keep the baby and start a new life together.

But well, all is well, that ends well. XO Kitty ends with a promise of yet another season, which will probably follow the primary couple navigating their long-distance relationship.

XO Kitty is on Netflix.
