Art inspires art. Just writing these three words make me feel like a loony. Not because it’s not true, but because it’s such a used to death phrase.

What’s alluring about art is the fact that once you find the form you most prefer, it’s the beginning of a life-long romance. Perhaps a dangerous obsessesion for some. But at least you know, that when you have nobody to turn to, you will always have art to console you.

I like to sketch sometimes. Sometimes can be as rare as once a year. Pity, because had it been more often, perhaps I could have become better at it. For now, in me, you will find a mediocre artist. A person, who dreams of practicing the art, so that maybe one day, she wouldn’t have to turn to other art for inspiration.

People like me need a trigger. Like earlier this week, I made two sketches after watching a movie called Atomic Blonde. I thought the film was just kick-ass. It had some really good action films and you have a female lead kicking some serious butt. What’s not to like?

First there was this one, a quick little sketch, didn’t take a picture of the finished product.

And then I felt like I should get a poster of the film. Then decided maybe a sketch would be a cheaper option. So I did just that, made myself a poster.
