Abandoned amid life
Bearing marks of strife
A structure in the middle
An unanswered riddle
Plush homes on the side
Trees put up to hide
What remains of it
Ruins tearing bit by bit
With age it’s blackened
Many a kid frightened
Just by its mere sight
Come day or night
It’s now just rubble
Once a home humble
