In whispered tones
I hear it all, yes I hear
Words hit like stones
You think I am ‘queer’
At first, It hurts
To think I am peculiar
Eye even sheds a tear
Oh, to think I am queer
Disdain in your tongue
Sharply it had stung
In the ears it rung
In shame head hung
Then came a dear
And then came more
Who dispelled the fear
And the pain I bore
Embracing my quirks
Stranger than a seer
Ignoring all smirks
I embrace my queer
