The House of M (Moriarty) is taunting genius detective Ron Kamonohashi by killing people right under his nose. Episode 14 of Ron Kamonohashi’s Forbidden Deductions Season 2 ended with the death of a hacker on a busy street in the morning, in full public view, even though it was obscured by smoke. The killers leave a clue indicating a third victim will die at 11 a.m., and now Ron and his sidekick, Totomaru Isshiki (Toto), must race against time to stop the next attack and ensure they catch the perpetrator this time.

Episode 15 of Ron Kamonohashi’s Forbidden Deductions Season 2 starts at the murder scene, with Ron lying over the bloodied body, trying to figure out how the killer shot the victim with an arrow despite the smoke clouding the view. Meanwhile, Toto breathlessly chases the third hacker, who is next in line for a visit from the Grim Reaper. The focus remains on the hackers’ case throughout the episode, with Ron desperate to uncover their real agenda. He manages to connect the case clues to the deep red scar on his neck.
In a fun cameo, Spitz Feier, the purple-haired detective who trained at the same academy as Ron, appears. Spitz was first introduced in episode 4 of Ron Kamonohashi’s Forbidden Deductions Season 1, during The Case of the Benizome Hot Spring Murder. Looks like Feier will be showing up unannounced whenever he feels like and help Tototo (that’s what he calls him, in case you forgot) whenever a case needs more hands.
In another surprising turn, Toto’s strict and demanding boss, Amamiya, supports an impromptu plan for the new case, signaling a gradual shift in their dynamic – it seems Amamiya is finally starting to see her rookie subordinate as someone capable of handling complex criminal investigations. Of-course, funnily enough, Ron’s genius hasn’t rubbed off on Toto at all, the latter continues to be as clueless as always, with the genius detective quickly solving the most elusive clues.
This is a tense episode with few comedic moments, but with so much mystery and action, the 23 minutes fly by. It ends with a bang, quite literally, so the case of ‘House of M’ is going to haunt Ron and Toto in the next few episodes too.
You can stream the series (Kamonohashi Ron no Kindan Suiri) on Netflix or CrunchyRoll
